The Caprine Classic is proud to
welcome this years judges
Paul F. Kempe Jr. of Hedgesville, WV (dairy), John
Henderson of Innisfail, Ab (Angora) and Karen Kolkman of
Annaheim, SK
Joining with the International Goat
Symposium this year, the Canadian Caprine Classic’s all
breeds Goat show is one-of-a-kind in Canada. Exhibitors
attending will have the opportunity to market their
animals through competition, networking with other
participants and spectators, and during the wrap-up
Spotlight Sale.
The dairy show has sections for Saanens, Toggenburgs, Alpines,
Nubians and LaManchas; as well as a section for all other (CGS)
registered purebred animals to ensure that all breeders are able
to participate. The Boer show’s percentage and commercial meat
doe (unregistered) sections as well as the Dairy show’s
registered grade, and (NEW THIS YEAR!) commercial dairy sections
aim to incorporate the commercial side of the goat industry into
the livestock exhibition. It is important to showcase not only
the best purebred stock, but also the finest production stock in
the industry.
Youth Showmanship Workshop 9:30-11:30Am Aug 13th Open to all youth
attending the event, lead by Paul F. Kempe Jr.
and Karen Kolkman.
